Waverly Abbey to Moor Park House Walking Tour
Waverley Abbey, Waverley Lane, Farnham, Surrey, GU9 8EP
A flat walk, starting from Waverley Abbey and following the Greensand Way, which runs alongside the River Wey, to Mother Ludlam's Cave. This is a small natural cave in the sandstone cliff forming the side of the Wey valley. A spring in the cave was used as a water supply for Waverley Abbey as far back as the 13th century. An ironstone arched entrance was constructed, it is believed, in the 19th century. Access to the Cave is not possible but Annabel and Mike Grindy will be available to talk about its history and Mother Ludlam.
The walk continues to Moor Park House, where Jim Rice will give a talk on the history of the House, a 17th Century grade II listed property, and will give a tour of the gardens.

Accessibility details
Flat walk. Could be muddy if wet. An optional visit to Father Foote's Cave is up a steep, short slope. The walk is unsuitable for those with mobility issues or who use any mobility aids (like wheelchairs)
