Please meet in Reception of Churchill Building.
Come along to visit one of Chester’s most significant 1930s buildings. The former Western Command was an administrative centre built on the eve of the Second World War, and designed to defend the west of the British Isles.
This fascinating Neo-Georgian building clearly reflects the attitudes and concerns of it’s time, as well as incorporating architectural influences from Chester’s past.
Join us for an illustrated talk and tour that covers the building’s past and present.
