On Fri 18, Sat 19 and Sun 20 Sept, 10.30am - 3.30pm, take a rare look inside St James, the former estate chapel, and uncover stories of the people whose work shaped life on the estate. Volunteer stewards will be on hand to share the history of this special building.
Join an Orangery and Walled Garden tour on Fri 18 Sept at 11am. Must be booked in advance via our website.
On Fri 18 & Sat 19 Sept, 11am - 3pm, meet Sheffield Coppice Workers who will be demonstrating traditional woodland crafts. Try your hand at shaping hazel on a shave horse and see how a traditional three-legged stool is made using hand tools.
On Sat 19 & Sun 20 Sept, 11am - 2pm, get hands-on with traditional crafts alongside our resident team of dry stone wallers. See their skills in action and have a go yourself.

There are steep gradients throughout the gardens. To help you access the gardens, we run a buggy shuttle service. Please ask at visitor reception on your arrival. There are also personal mobility scooters to hire for use in the gardens. Book in advance by emailing [email protected]
