Barton Community Band Open Rehearsal

Barton Corn Exchange, 8 Market Place, Barton-upon-Humber, Lincolnshire, DN18 5DA

What actually goes on during a brass band rehearsal? How does the Musical Director get the best out of his players?
You will be surprised! Come and see/hear for yourself, at our special open rehearsal.

Barton-upon-Humber has had a brass band for over 150 years and traces its origins to Hall's Ropery Band and the famous Barton Cycle Works Silver Band (Elswick Hopper). The Community Band was formed several years ago and has players with a wide range of ages and abilities. Following the North of England Brass Band Championships held in Durham in March 2023 the band qualified for the National Brass Band Championship Finals which will be held at Cheltenham in September 2023.
So what will the Musical Director be doing to get the best out of his players for the contest? You would be surprised, so come along and see / hear for yourself at our open rehearsal.

This event took place in September 2023 and the entry is now archived.
