Riverhouse Barn Heritage Day

Riverside Arts Centre, Riverhouse Barn, Manor Road, Walton-on-Thames, Surrey, KT12 2PF

Come to Walton's wonderful Arts Centre - a converted 18th Century Barn! We have two special events on offer:

Mount Felix Tapestry Stitch in the Barn - A chance to catch up with the progress of our Mount Felix Tapestry. Watch as panels are being stitched, history being created! There will be information boards and designs on display, and even a community panel available if you fancy having a go on the day.

Film Screening - Memories of Walton II - This film features memories of people who were born or have lived and worked in Walton for much of their lives. Written and directed by Simon Mason, this film delves into the amazing history of Walton-on-Thames. Discover fascinating facts about this historic town; for example did you know that the Prince of Wales played baseball in Ashley Park in Walton in 1749, and that this is believed to be the very first baseball game ever played?

We look forward to welcoming you through our doors.

This event took place in September 2016 and the entry is now archived.
