Don't miss this day of family fun at The Guards Museum. On Saturday 9th September discover 300 years of history behind the soldiers who guard Buckingham Palace. Enjoy free entry, themed tours and the opportunity to dress up like a guardsman.

You are invited to The Guards Museum to explore the history of the five Regiments of Foot Guards, you may know them from their red tunics and bearskin caps, but there is much more to their story.

Between 10am and 3:30pm our doors will be open, themed museum tours will take place throughout the day. Learn the hints and tips to telling the Regiments apart and hear stories from their intertwined history with the Royal Family.

There will be lots of family friendly activities including dressing up like a Guardsman. Try on the famous bearskin caps and step foot into a genuine sentry box ready to take up post.

We look forward to seeing you there!

This event took place in September 2023 and the entry is now archived.
