Crafts Study Centre

Craft Study Centre, The University for the Creative Arts, Falkner Road, Farnham, Surrey, GU9 7DS

The Crafts Study Centre is the University Museum of Modern Craft. It relocated from Bath in 2000 and opened in its purpose-built museum building at the front of the UCA Farnham Campus in 2002, presenting works from its unrivaled permanent collections and archives of 20th century craft. The building was designed by London architects A & Q Partnership and is steel-framed with an infill of block work. Contemporary craft has been integrated into the building, including the light installation.

For Heritage Open Days there will be a tour of the centre led by the Director or the Curator of the Crafts Study Centre. The tour will last about an hour. The tour of the galleries will include a behind the scenes visit to the research room to see a selected group of objects from the collection not normally on display.

This event took place in September 2016 and the entry is now archived.
