Walton Wharf Heritage Day

Manor Road, Walton-on-Thames, Surrey, KT12 2PE

Held at the beautiful Walton Wharf, Walton-on-Thames Heritage Day is a day for the whole family to remember!

We will be holding our popular Dog Show as well as having lively entertainment from the band. There will be traditional performances to entertain the children, as well as face painting and balloon sculptures on hand to add to the fun. We have a number of stalls, including many local charities and voluntary organisations.

Our annual hog roast will be ready from midday and additional refreshments will be available from The Anglers, The Swan and The Old Manor House, our three local pubs by the river.

Around midday we will be welcoming the converted barge the Thames Venturer, which will tie up at the jetty and their crew will be available to talk about their charitable work for the disabled as well as giving tours of their boat.

The sea scouts will be offering trips along the river to and from parking at Cowey Sale.

Also on offer in Walton: walk 5 minutes along the tow-path to the Riverhouse Barn to enjoy their own unique heritage events. Take a 10 minute walk into town and to St Mary's - our amazing 12th Century Bell Tower church - to see the bells in action and hear the unusual history of the church.

This event took place in September 2016 and the entry is now archived.
