Cowey Sale Heritage Day

Walton Lane, Walton-on-Thames, Surrey

Celebrating it's 20th year in Walton-on-Thames, Heritage Day is going back to it's original site at beautiful Cowey Sale! Bigger and better this year, Heritage Day is a day for the whole family to remember!

We will be holding our popular Dog Show as well as having a wider variety of lively entertainment and a selection of kids amusements. There will be traditional performances to entertain the children, as well as face painting and balloon sculptures on hand to add to the fun. We have a number of stalls, including many local charities and voluntary organisations.

Our annual hog roast will be ready from midday and additional refreshments will be available from various of the stalls and from Cafe Gino.

The sea scouts will be offering trips along the river - to and from Walton Wharf - giving you easy access to another of our events at the Riverhouse Barn.

Alternatively walk 10 minutes along the tow-path from Cowey Sale to the Riverhouse Barn to enjoy their own unique heritage events. Take a 10 minute walk into town and to St Mary's - our amazing 12th Century Bell Tower church - to see the bells in action and hear the unusual history of the church.

This event took place in September 2016 and the entry is now archived.
