Warminster Malting leads the market for the supply of local 'craft' beer with world wide acclaim. Listed Grade II building, dating from 18th century, one of the two remaining traditional 'floor' maltings in the country. The tour will be lead by the manager or the owner of the maltings and will explain how a 'floor' maltings works and visitors will be able to see every stage of malt production. Warminster Maltings was awarded Blue plaque in 2004.

Access Information
Wheelchair users can use the back entrance to gain access to the ground floor but there is no wheelchair access to the malting floors upstairs and visitors should also be aware of the uneven ground and floor levels.
Additional information
Max 25 people per tour/session. Visitors can taste beer made with Warminster malt at The Organ Inn, which is situated in the town centre c. 5 mins walk from the Maltings.
Directions
Pound Street is a side street in the western residential area of the town. It is within easy walking distance from all the town's car parks and there is limited street parking in the area. From the town centre proceed westwards along the High Street into George Street and Silver Street, turn left at the Obelisk into Vicarage Street. Pound Street is c. 150 yards up Vicarage Street on its left (south) side. It marks the boundary between Vicarage Street and its western continuation as West Street. The maltings is a large distinctive stone building on the left hand side of the street and is well signed. Meet outside the front door: if it is raining, go inside.
