An Historical Saunter around Ramsbottom Town Centre.
Meet at the Grant Arms (Rosebridge) at 1.30 pm. Approx 2 miles. Walk finishes at 4 pm. Andrew is a very knowledgeable historian well worth listening to.

Bury Parish Church
Bury Parish Church will be open Friday 6th September 11am to 2pm with a concert by Ian Buckley, pianist at 12.30pm. Coffee shop with sandwich and cake available. The Church will also be open on Saturday 7th September 10am to 2pm. Coffee shop open.
Bury Transport Museum
Our first Heritage Open day will be focusing on the Heritage of the East Lancashire Railway by display of locomotives and rolling stock from the Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway which operated the current Heritage line from 1847 to 1922, we also have vintage buses, vans, trucks, bikes on display and our detailed model railway showing the ELR in late 1940s.

Join the participants from our Northern Female Voices project as they share a plethora of writing about experiences of womanhood, motherhood, daughterhood and everything in between.

Park and meet at St Philip’s Church Stubbins. Circular 1 ½ mile route Nigel relives the path taken by a discontented faction of cotton mill workers who, despite having the Riot Act read out to them, pressed forward to destroy power loom machines.

With Andrew Todd President of Ramsbottom Heritage Society. Andrew’s walk reveals that there were over 20 licensed houses within 10 minutes walk of the Market Place in 1900.
Radcliffe Parish Church of St Mary, Greater Manchester/ Eco/Environment
St Mary's is a Grade I listed building, parts of which date to the 13th century. James de Radcliffe 1355-1410 is interred inside. Nearby are the ruins of the de Radcliffe's ancestral home - Radcliffe Tower, and the Grade II Tithe barn circa 1700.
