History tours of the church with a scavenger hunt for children
St Mary the Virgin, Eccleston, nr Chorley will be open to the public on Saturday and Sunday, 20/21 st September with tours of the church. On Saturday evening there will be a talk about BATS with a bat hunt and identification. Time tbc.

Visitors will see an early 'Waterloo' or 'Commissioners' Church', an imposing example of architect Thomas Rickman's work, dating from 1825. It is just two hundred years since its consecration and the weekend's activities are in celebration!
