A walk from St Faith's Road to St Cross Hospital
Junction of Kingsgate Road and St Faith's Road, Winchester, Hampshire, SO23 9QD
We will touch on the historical aspects and development of the area including the medieval church of St Faiths, the various mills, Clausentum and St Faiths Roads, Cripstead Lane and Back Street as well as some of the more interesting buildings and pubs and one or two personalities who have helped shape the development of the area in the distant and more recent past. Finally, the history of Garnier Road and some of its landmarks will be described.
