All Saints Church and Churchyard open day - Langley Park

Come and learn about the origins of our church and how it is bound up with the history of the village. From world wars to coal mining, the stories contained in our churchyard give a view into life in a Durham pit village and you can read the stories of some of the more than 2000 people buried here. Take in the peace either inside the church or outside in the churchyard... then listen with a cup of tea and a slice of cake while some of the groups that meet here entertain you with gospel choir and a harp group performances. Find out what the churchyard group have been doing to encourage diversity and wildlife over the last few years, take a walk around and enjoy the beauty of nature. Coming with kids - we'll have activities for them too.
