Bentham Quaker Meeting House Open Afternoon
Bentham Quaker Meeting House, Burton Road, Low Bentham, North Yorkshire, LA2 7ET
Bentham Meeting House, also known as Calf Cop Meeting House, is a building of elegant simplicity set in deep quietness high above the Burton Road in Low Bentham, with wonderful views of Ingleborough and the surrounding Yorkshire countryside. You are welcome to explore on your own, but also at 14.45 we are offering a talk by Angus Winchester which will explore what the building tells us about Quaker beliefs and worship. The talk will be followed by a five minute "mini-Meeting" which will give you an opportunity to experience what a Quaker Meeting is like. Tea and home-made cakes will be provided throughout the Open Afternoon for your enjoyment and refreshment.
