There is a lift for wheelchair users in the entrance to the Museum, and much of the museum is wheelchair accessible. However the Museum is compact, with corridors and narrow spaces to navigate. The Gallery and Cells, which form part of the original 19th century Police Station, are on one level. There are steps up into the Court Room, but with care they are accessible. For those unable to climb steps we have had a DVD made of the visit to the Court room, please advise your guide upon arrival if the DVD if it is required.
During your visit, you will be guided around the museum by one or more of our experienced and knowledgeable volunteer tours guides. Our guides will show you the charge office, historic cells, and the fine Victorian courtroom, along with the main gallery which includes our current 'Diversity in Policing' Exhibition!
