For 80 years, Brathay has been a place where young people have come to learn, grow and discover their potential. This special open day offers a rare opportunity to explore the estate, learn more about its heritage and view our newly displayed archive, celebrating the people, places and moments that have shaped Brathay's history.
Join one of our guided walking tours, led by members of the Brathay team. Covering approximately 1-2km, the tours explore the estate's history, its connection to the local landscape and its role in the development of outdoor learning.
You are also welcome to browse the archive display at your own pace. Tea, coffee and light refreshments will be available throughout the afternoon.

The guided tour is wheelchair accessible, but on some gravel terrain with inclines and declines. It is about 1-2km walk in full, but with options for individuals to make it shorter or longer if needed.
