Saxon church on the banks of the Tyne. Display of historical and heritage information for the duration of Heritage Open Weekends.

This active parish church was founded in Saxon times. Its role and architecture have evolved through the centuries but it remains a worship hub for Bywell, Stocksfield and surroundings.
For Heritage Open Weekends 2025, information on its history will be on display, with tea and coffee available from 11-3 on 13th and 12-4 on 14th September.

Accessibility details

The church does not have running water so washroom facilities are very basic. The churchyard is uneven so please take care when walking around. Please park considerately on the side of the lane.
