Crown Green Bowls Taster - A Stirchley Heritage Experience - now Fully Booked

The bowling green and outside areas were a key feature in the design of the British Oak public house which replaced an earlier building in 1926.
After WW1 living conditions for many improved and women had more freedom. This is one of the 'drinking establishments' which incorporated a greater number of facilities and became more 'respectable'.
Many original features remain, including the bowling green which has been an integral feature of the building for nearly 100 years.
Take this opportunity to try a traditional British sport in an historic setting.

British Oak is on the 45 & 47 bus routes and c300mtrs from Bournville station. There is limited parking on site and nearby. The Bowling Green is at the rear of the British Oak. Access will be signposted.
