All talks and tours are free.

Tours of the Founder's Building and Archives are limited in number and can be booked on the day from the Information Point.

Founder's tours
The Founder's Building was home to one of the first higher education colleges for women. Join current students for a tour of this remarkable building.

Picture Gallery
Explore the working lives of the inhabitants of our Picture Gallery paintings with our curatorial team. Younger guests can demonstrate their own artistic talent with colouring in, or following our Picture Gallery trails.
Chapel
Join our University Chaplain for an inside view of this very special space.

Archives
Take a trip down into the University archives with the University archivist. See documents and pictures from the earliest days of the University and find out what other amazing collections we hold.

Expert talks
Experts and invited guests from Egham Museum will give short talks on the history of the University. Hear a documentary maker tell the story of a baker's son and shipwright's daughter who defied convention to create new educational opportunities for women in Victorian Britain, find out what everyday life was like for these women at Royal Holloway and Bedford College and learn how our team look after our monumental Grade 1 listed building.

Children's Trail
Our children's trail is back in 2026! Follow the map around our campus grounds to hunt for clues as you learn all about Royal Holloway.

Directions:
Royal Holloway is situated on the A30 in Egham, Surrey, just two miles from junction 13 of the M25 and is 15 minutes from Heathrow airport. It is also easily accessible from London City or Gatwick airports. There is a good bus service from London Heathrow, Terminal 5 to Royal Holloway, which stops on Egham Hill, just outside the gates to the main entrance of the University. You can see the bus timetable here. There are also frequent train services from London Waterloo to Egham (35–40 minutes).
