Join us September 15th for a free afternoon (1-5pm) in Canterbury's best kept secret, the Franciscan Gardens. Experience 800 years of history when you visit our 1.5 acre garden and 13th Century Chapel, located alongside the Great Stour river.

The Franciscan Gardens are a 1.5 acre heritage garden and 13th Century Chapel, located just off the Canterbury High Street.
We are offering free entry to the gardens on MONDAY SEPEMBER 15TH, from 1-5pm (last entry 4pm).
We encourage you to enjoy a picnic on the grounds, explore our fascinating history, or relax and watch the river boats go by.
Dogs on leads welcome.

Site is a 10 minute walk from all Canterbury train stations, and the Canterbury Bus Station. No parking on site. Nearest car park is St Radigund's or Whitefriars. No toilet facilities on site. Some step access - see website for more information: https://franciscangardens.org.uk/access-statement/ Wheelchairs and push chairs can access site if they are able to be pushed/lifted over small stairs.
