  • | Exhibition

Unique chance to see Boston Preservation Trust archives & materials providing a glimpse of Fydell House from the past to present day . We are hoping to display archaeological finds from Boston & past photographs of Boston's United Football club.

The Fydell family has contributed much to Boston’s history. But do we know all of it. The Boston Preservation Trust Research and Archive Group, along with the Civic Group have collated past photographs, pictures and exhibits that help to show Fydell House's history. There are previous maps of the house and the recent renovation maps are on display too, showing the new accessible ramps and door and toilet all successfully added to this grade 1 Queen Anne building. The Fydells once owned the land where the previous football grounds was. We are combining archaeological finds, photographs and other material to provide an insight into this part of Boston. The exhibition will take less than hour to visit and we can have up to 10 people in the exhibition room at anyone time. We will accept people turning up without booking but they may need to wait a few minutes while those that have booked have finished visiting the exhibition. This is a unique free exhibition and will take approximately 30 to 45 minutes to view.
