Grassington to Linton in Craven walk taking in the heritage through 17th century buildings

Meet Jude Rhodes at Grassington Square in the 'pig pen' seated area at 15:00 hrs on Monday 15th September.
After an introduction to the walk the group will visit the private grounds of Grassington Old Hall, once the manor house, before walking to the River Wharfe along the 'Snake Walk' to Linton Falls to view a once prestigious barn belonging to the Wrathall family.
The group will continue over L'ille Emily's ancient bridge to Threshfield Primary School for 16:00 hrs, founded in 1674 where there will be the opportunity to view the outside and inside of the original building.
A short talk will be presented about the buildings visited before continuing over the fields to Linton in Craven to visit the Fountains Hospital alms houses.
The guided walk will end in Linton where there will be the choice to remain longer in Linton or to return to Grassington with Jude following the same route as taken earlier.
Please wear suitable footwear and clothing for a walk of about 2 hours.
