Visitors will be able to explore the oldest crucible steel making furnace in South Yorkshire ,dating from 1797.

Visitors will be shown round by local experts and will also be able to see artefacts and documentation relating to the site. There is also the opportunity for an historic walk around Grenoside. The village paid an important part in the development of steel industry in the 19th century.

Accessibility details

There is restricted parking on site ..The community centre has a large car park and is a 10 minute walk away. The steps down to the cellar are old and can be slippery in wet weather.
