A guided tour of the Southsea Archives Repository - where the bulk of Portsmouth's archive material is stored

Book on for a rare, behind-the-scenes tour of the Southsea Archives Repository. Situated above the Southsea Library, the repository contains the bulk of Portsmouth's extensive archive collections. Over the course of the tour you will see how archives are .catalogued and stored, how we deal with challenges such as infestations and mould, and how we attempt to make the archives accessible to the people of Portsmouth. There'll also be an opportunity to handle and examine some of our favourite and oldest archive items!
