Hearts and Hooves - Spiritual discovery and Cow Therapy.
Step into the peaceful world of Bhaktivedanta Manor, a historic Tudor-style estate nestled in the Hertfordshire countryside and gifted by Beatle George Harrison. This is the heart of the Hare Krishna movement in the UK — a place of beauty, spirituality, and living heritage.
Your visit begins with a guided tour of the stunning manor house and its serene gardens, rich with history, culture, and spiritual purpose. Then, head to the on-site Cow Protection Centre, where you’ll get hands-on with our gentle, much-loved cows. Brush them, feed them, and discover why cows are considered sacred in many Eastern traditions.
After connecting with the animals, take a moment to experience mantra meditation — a simple and powerful practice to calm the mind and uplift the heart. No previous experience is needed.
We’ll finish with a delicious free vegetarian meal, freshly prepared with love by the Manor's temple kitchen.
Whether you're curious about spiritual life, love nature and animals, or just want a relaxing and unique day out, this event offers something special for everyone.
