Around Essex a number of industries provided housing for their workers e.g: Crittalls in Silver End, Courtaulds in Halstead and Hunts in Earls Colne. The event will be a mini-Industrial Heritage Fair looking at Industrial Housing. There will be stands from museums and other organisations showing the industries and their housing. The talks will be on industrial housing and its effects on the area and the industries. The 2 walks will look at the specific industrial housing provided in Silver End by Crittalls.
