Walk through Chester, visiting some of John Douglas’ most notable buildings. The event will explore Douglas’ influences and methods, along with details from specific buildings, and provide a wider overview of Douglas’ impact on Chester during the Victorian period and into today.
The walk will be led by Chantal Bradburn of the University of Chester and a Douglas enthusiast. It will start by Grosvenor Park Lodge, proceed to and though Eastgate and finish near The Cross, at the centre of The Rows.

There will be some kerbs to negotiate when crossing roads, but the route is otherwise without steps. Please wear suitable footwear for walking and come prepared for current weather conditions. We recommend you bring a bottle of drinking water.
