Meet the Writers of Our City, Our Lives, Our Stories

Meet the Writers of Our City, Our Lives, Our Stories is a community reading and discussion event featuring 4-6 writers from the anthology Our City, Our Lives, Our Stories. The evening will open with a short performance from Rhythm Dance Nation About Us, a dynamic arts company rooted in rhythm, movement and African diasporic performance practices that create inclusive, high-energy experiences for diverse audiences. Their work often blends dance, rhythm and storytelling, making them a powerful fit for an event that places everyday life and lived experience at its heart.

Following the performance, there will be live readings by the writers and a Q&A session with the audience, creating a welcoming space for people to hear directly from the voices behind the work and to share their own reflections. The event will take place at the Reginald Centre Library between 5 and 7 pm, offering a safe, accessible venue for residents, families, and library users to engage with storytelling rooted in Leeds.
