National Trust - Stowe Gardens Open Day

National Trust Stowe Gardens, New Inn Farm, Buckingham, Buckinghamshire, MK18 5EQ

  • 15 Sep 2025
  • In person
  • Pre-booking preferred

Full of hidden meaning, classical references and visual trickery, there are picture-perfect views, temples, lakeside walks and a monumental landscape that changes with the seasons.

Start your visit at the New Inn, a half-mile walk down a tree-lined avenue to the garden, following in the footsteps of 18th century tourists. With free entry to Stowe Gardens, Stowe Parish Church, the Gothic Temple, Stowe House, Dido's Cave, the temple of Concord & Victory, and Cobham's Pillar, it's a chance to see inside and explore the breadth of some of Stowe's most iconic temples.

You'll be able to explore the 250 acres of landscape gardens, visit the Gothic Temple (normally an exclusive holiday cottage for the Landmark Trust) and have the rare opportunity to climb the historic Cobham's Pillar monument. Please note, booking is essential for Cobham’s Pillar and this can be done via the Stowe Gardens website.

Please see the Stowe House website for details on the house offer.
Pre-booking is not required for Stowe Gardens. Pre-booking is advised for the Gothic Temple and can be done via the Landmark Trust website - www.landmarktrust.org.uk
