WB with Richard Bennett (Chair of RCS), our 6th collaboration. We go back 150 years to when it looked so different. Inc. Enormous Lost Swimming baths, only 1 pub, Kendrick Rd. & Court, 2 Sec. Schs., Redlands Rd, Reading Univ. London. Rd Campus.

This Special Conservation Area (CA), Highlights inc. – Kendrick road Impressive & unusual Listed buildings and their unique Architecture, Trees, Historic Plaques. Reading Oldest Bowling Club & it's fascinating history. History of 2 of the best schools in the country. A brief walk through Reading Univ. London. Rd Campus, covering it's 99 years history & much more, with the option to go for a drink, light lunch, good chat at a local MERL cafe at the end.

Proceeds will be donated equally to – ‘The Ways & Means Trust’ - Great local Charity, helping adults with learning. physical disabilities, or mental health disabilities. And ‘Camp Mohawk (The Woodland Centre Trust charity no. 1202580) . A 5-acre site gives children & young people the opportunity to experience safe, stimulating experiences, who have special needs.

We will be walking alongside roads with pavements and pedestrian paths, some narrow. There are moderate slopes. Part of a steep road to go up & back down. Easy to Medium difficulty / 3.8km / 2.25 hours long, may overrun wrt time. NB This is a walk developed with Richard Bennett (Chairman of Reading Civic Society). We would very appreciates it if people are willing to donate to my 2 charities, which in 2025-26 are ‘Camp Mohawk’ and ‘The Ways & Means Trust’.
