Sibsey Trader Windmill

Built in 1877, to replace an earlier post mill, this six-storey mill is undergoing major conservation to restore its cap, fantail and six sails, and to bring it back into working order. The project started in 2020 and the mill has been closed.

Explore the mill since the conclusion of the project, see the new sails and find out about the future plans for the mill!

Accessibility details

There is steps to enter the mill and to reach each level of the mill, access is via climbing the ladder style steps. Staff and volunteer will be on site to chat about the mill in case you are unable to climb the steps.

Lade Bank Pumping Station built in 1937 with an old cooling system (updated in 2005). The architecture can be traced back to the 1800s when Lade Bank was used for canal boats. The Ruston and Hornsby diesel engines can't be found anywhere else (UK).
