As part of the 2025 Heritage Open Days Festival , English Heritage will be opening the gates to Chester Castle and telling the stories of the castle through out the ages. Meet our soldiers, Find out what life was like for civilians. Watch demonstrations and displays or dress up in armour
Visit the fascinating Agricola Tower to see our beautiful wall paintings and our second-hand bookshop located in the cells. Take in the views of Chester and the surrounding countryside from the tower roof top .
