Visit this beautiful, historic church set in beautiful mature grounds. Explore ancient monuments, stained glass, and architecture, as well as a display of living history. We have areas not usually open to the public, and activities for children.

St Bartholomew's has been a place of Christian worship for 900 years and continues to be a thriving church. The original church was rebuilt in 1791 but retains some original features. It contains Victorian additions and both 19th Century and Contemporary stained glass, including numerous works by renowned artist Leonard Evetts. Even regular visitors are sure to find something new in this fascinating church.

We love having children in our church, and there are activities for kids of all ages.
