St John’s Chatham has been undergoing significant works in the last couple of years. Come and see this amazing and newly refurbished Waterloo Church in the heart of historic Chatham.

St John’s Chatham is one of the most prominent buildings in Chatham. In the summer of 2025 we have almost concluded significant capital works to enable St John's Chatham to be a place of worship and welcome to the whole community. Come and see the mix of old and new and appreciate this Cathedral-like space as you have never seen it before. All the stained glass has been cleaned, the plaques polished and the war memorials buffed up ready for you to visit. The roof's been replaced, we have toilets, new rooms, underfloor heating, and a fresh coat of paint.
The church congregation that was established in the building in 2021 is in the process of returning. We welcome you to join us. Find out more about our journey and regular events at www.stjohnschatham.co.uk
