St. Martins Church, 112 Crescent Park, Stockport, Greater Manchester, SK4 2JE
We're stepping back in time as we celebrate a community milestone: 125 years of St Martin’s Church. To mark this special anniversary, we are opening up our archives for the first time! Visitors will have the opportunity to explore our collection of historical documents and old photographs spanning more than a century, telling the story of St Martin's, Norris Bank. You can discover the fascinating story of how our church first began; browse through our parish magazines from different periods of the church's life, and learn about the 1899 flower-themed event that funded the building of the church!
If your ancestors lived in Norris Bank, Stockport and celebrated life events at St Martin's, you're welcome to visit and get a sense of what church life was like for them. We'd also love to welcome local residents who has lived in the parish for years—perhaps you attended St Martin's from a young age, or walked down our aisle on your wedding day—we'd love to hear your stories! Whether you are deeply rooted in our parish history or simply curious about the local heritage, we invite you to come along, share your stories, and celebrate 125 years with us!
