St Mary Immaculate RC Church, 45 West Street, Warwick, Warwickshire, CV34 6AB
St Mary Immaculate was built in 1860 and designed by Edward Pugin. The main altar is adorned with gilded images of Saints and Martyrs and the smaller chapel of Our Lady has an oak carving of the Virgin and Child. There is stained glass by Hardman and by French artist Tony Dury, who was a parishioner and sang in the choir at the opening Mass. Lord of the Rings author J. R. R. Tolkien married Edith Bratt at the church in 1916.
