Join us on guided tours through Ecclesfield’s 2,000-year history and on Saturday visit the bell tower. See the 7th century Anglo-Saxon stone cross, the hidden pre-reformation altar, and memorial to a 17th century knight. Learn about the symbology of the hatchments and the battle-ready armaments. Hear stories about the famous Gatty family and influential women who helped shape the village. Before you leave, enjoy the café nestled within these ancient stone walls.

Directions:
Leave M1 at Junction 35. Take A629 towards Chapeltown. At second set of traffic lights turn left. At the roundabout take the second exit. Continue to next traffic lights go straight across onto Mill Road. At the T junction turn left onto Church street where you will see the church on your left. Turn right after the Black Bull pub to park on Priory Road.
