Walk around this Grade II listed Victorian church, consecrated in 1884. It was built on land donated by Captain William Linskill to meet the need of the rapid growth of population in the area and is dedicated to St. Augustine, Bishop of Hippo

Of particular interest are the stained glass windows. Above the altar, the east window takes the form of the war memorial and was designed by Martin Travers (1886-1948) who is described by some as one of the most influential British stained glass artists of the twentieth century. A brass memorial lists the fallen from the parish from both WWI & WWII. Many notable families have added to the church stained glass windows and interior over the years.
