Every street has a story. From the curve of a cobbled lane to the placement of a doorway, our urban landscapes are alive with meaning—layers built up through the choices and craftsmanship of generations.

Join photographer and architectural historian Andy Marshall for a slow and thoughtful walk through the local streets, uncovering the patterns and principles hidden in plain sight. Drawing on his background in the history of art and architecture, and a lifetime spent exploring Britain’s built environment, Andy will show how developing our eye transforms the ordinary into the extraordinary.

This one-mile journey isn’t just about observation—it’s about engagement. You’re invited to record the experience in any medium you choose: sketch, photograph, or simply pause and reflect. Andy will bring along some of his own sketches and favourite books for inspiration, adding layers to your own discoveries.
