What lies beneath St. Dominic's? A Spanish Armada beacon. An 18th-century folly. Years of remarkable student-led excavation. Join us for a behind-the-scenes look at one of the most exciting local archaeological sites around.

Since 2019, Staff and students of St. Dominic's Sixth Form College have been excavating the site of a potential Spanish Armada beacon mound, as well as the remains of an ornamental 18th century folly tower. During the event, visitors will be given a historical tour of our site, and will have the opportunity to learn about the discoveries we have made during our excavations and recent geophysical survey. History isn't just in the books here, it's beneath your feet.

Our library exhibition space will also be open and their will be activities designed for families & children. There will also be an opportunity to visit our wonderful Chapel.
