Old Gossip and Red Rot: A day in the life of an Archivist?
Headstone Manor, Pinner View, Harrow, Greater London, HA2 6PX
If you are interested in what an archivist at Headstone Manor and Museum does in a day, this is the tour for you!
You can hear about the history of the archival collections while looking at selected items relating to everyday histories. Hear how the collections can support your research into the past, whether for exploring family histories or for personal interest. You will also have chance to stand in the archival stores and find out some of our conservation issues, including finding out, what is red rot? Due to the narrow spaces, groups will be kept small, and please expect cold conditions and to stand for long periods of time during the tour.
Tour duration is appropriately 40 minutes.
