Step into church and discover the beauty and history of our vestments in our exhibition. Come and see the garments and learn about their symbolism and stories they tell.

Why do vicars wear what they wear?
Step behind the scenes of church tradition and discover the story of the garments worn by clergy. Our Vestments Exhibition showcases our collection of historical and contemporary robes, some nearly 100 years old, featuring beautiful embroidery, fine craftsmanship and rich symbolism. Learn how the changing colours of the vestments reflect the seasons and the festivals of the church’s year, and why these garments are worn.
Whether you’re fascinated by local history, textiles, church heritage or simply discovering something new, this exhibition offers a rare opportunity to see these pieces up close and understand the stories they tell.
Come and visit and discover a unique part of the church’s heritage.
