Wardsend Cemetery opened in June 1867 as the expanded burial ground for St Philip's Church, housing a strong working-class presence. Of the 30,000 stories of people buried here, we'll be sharing a handful on a number of tours, covering themes such as military, industrial and gender history, told through the lens of working-class community.

With a choice between guided and self-guided tours, this is an opportunity to immerse yourself in the rich nature and heritage at Wardsend. We are interested in your stories of Wardsend and the local area.
