Worsbrough Local History Days
Park Road, Worsbrough, Barnsley, South Yorkshire, S70 5LJ
The event is being held in collaboration with Worsbrough Ward Alliance, Worsbrough Mill, and other local community groups. This year's theme, 'Wonders of Worsbrough - Designs of our past shaping our future', will highlight the rich architectural heritage of Worsbrough and its relevance to contemporary times.
Exhibitions will feature detailed information on the history of the Worsbrough Mill building, local churches, and manor houses. Additionally, other providers will present displays on mining heritage, the history of local sports clubs, and transport. A timeline showcasing key events in Worsbrough's history, dating back to the Doomsday Book, will also be on display.
This year, we are excited to offer guided tours of the Mill building, providing an in-depth look at its historical significance. No booking is required for the tours.
