Join The Parks Trust and Milton Keynes Arts Centre for a wetlands wander, where you will learn about the plants and animals and the history of heritage craft along the River Great Ouse and have a go at creating your very own mini cordage craft.

The walk will be at a leisurely pace with plenty of stops to look at wildlife in its vital habitats and chat. You will learn about the history of the area associated with the River Great Ouse, alongside exploring heritage crafts that use natural materials. You will also have the opportunity to practice and create your own mini cordage craft!

There is step-free access from the car park. The majority of the walk will take place on paved paths but we may venture into short grassland to spot certain plants or animals.

We may also cross a bridge which has a handrail - however the route can be adapted so please get in touch at [email protected] to discuss any accessibility requirements - we would love to make these sessions enjoyable for all.

All ages are welcome but under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult.

A hearing loop is available on request.

There are a few benches on the route however these are sporadic so you may wish to bring a portable stool with you if required. There are no toilets available at this site although customer toilets can be found in nearby pubs and supermarkets.
