Weelsby Hall

Weelsby Hall, Weelsby Road, Grimsby, Lincolnshire, DN32 9RU

Owned by Linkage Community Trust, visit one of the grandest buildings in North East Lincolnshire not usually accessible to the public. This special event is part of the Heritage Open Days Festival, England’s largest festival of history and culture.

The Hall opened its doors to the public for the first time in 2020 and the event has returned annually ever since, due to its popularity.
Weelsby Hall is vitally important to Grimsby's heritage and particularly it's fishing heritage, having been built for George Sleight in the late 1800s. Linkage Community Trust, a Lincolnshire-based charity, acquired North East Lincolnshire's grandest building in 1982 to serve the local and national needs of people with learning disabilities.
Find out about the heritage of this wonderful place through a self-guided tour around the grounds, with access to the entrance hall of Weelsby Hall and a small number of interior rooms. Learn more about how a grant from National Lottery Heritage Fund is helping Linkage to preserve the hall for future generations.
Refreshments, car parking and toilets are available.

This event took place in September 2023 and the entry is now archived.
