Join folk artist Harsha Basu for a creative embroidery workshop for all ages and abilities. Create a unique fabric patch inspired by local history, to add to a very special collaborative sari that will form the centrepiece of an upcoming Migration Stories exhibition.

Autumn Equinox: Celebrating community

Stop by London’s last functioning windmill for a family-friendly day of shared learning (and fun!) with Land In Our Names. Creative workshops, music and food will be on offer in a celebration of Brixton’s rich multicultural heritage. This event is by and centres people from the global majority, so members of those communities are especially encouraged to attend.

Mapping memories

Come along to the launch of a new community heritage project. From family history to archaeological evidence, an illustrated map will guide you through the rich heritage of the area. Before you step out though, chat to the volunteers over a slice of cake to discover more and add your own stories.

Take inspiration from the history of Norwich and its interesting architecture at this creative workshop. Make or paint a tile to add to a collaborative new artwork that will be displayed at Carrow House.

What could be more autumnal than a trip to an orchard?! Come along to this historic site and discover more than a bushel of apples, pears and plums. Take a tour, have a taste, and take some home to bake a pud for the next open day. Set up to demonstrate traditional growing and teach orchard skills don't forget to bring your questions on tree care, rewilding, beekeeping and more as experts will be on hand to chat!
