Calke Abbey
With peeling paintwork and overgrown courtyards, Calke Abbey is one of the National Trust's unique houses, where you can discover the tales of an eccentric family who amassed a vast collection of hidden treasures.
Hartshorne Upper Hall
Hall and kitchen range of substantial early 17th-century timber-framed manor house. Well-preserved, with decorative framing, two-storey porch, ovens and cellars. (Parlour wing in separate occupation and not open.) Still lived in as a private house.
St Mary's Church, Hilton with Marston on Dove
St Mary's Church is a beautiful and ancient Grade I listed building, dating from approximately 1200 when the present chancel was built, although there is evidence of a church as early as 1086, including the font, which is used today.
St Peter's Church, Hartshorne
An opportunity to climb the spiral staircase to the top of the church tower to see the bells and clock room. Churchyard trail and quizzes to learn more about the history of the church and churchyard.

The Architecture of Barrow upon Trent
Guided tours will be conducted around the village, with older buildings dating from Anglo-Saxon and early mediaeval times through to the Victorian era. There will also be a CGI film depicting our village in the 1300s showing in the church.
