Crown Green Bowls Taster - A Stirchley Heritage Experience

1364 Pershore Road, Stirchley, Birmingham, West Midlands, B30 2XS

  • 20 Sep 2025
  • In person
  • Pre-booking required

Have a go at Crown Green Bowling at the rear of the Grade 2 Listed British Oak public house in the heart of Stirchley. Booking required. New venue.

The bowling green and outside areas were a key feature in the design of the British Oak public house which replaced an earlier building in 1926.
After WW1 living conditions for many improved and women had more freedom. This is one of the 'drinking establishments' which incorporated a greater number of facilities and became more 'respectable'.
Many original features remain, including the bowling green which has been an integral feature of the building for nearly 100 years.
Take this opportunity to try a traditional British sport in an historic setting.
Booking required.
