The Church at the heart of historic Pulborough is always worth a visit, more when the Rector is there to show you! Any 800 year-old church has problems and benefits, come, explore the building, how we care for it, and our bats (in the belfry?)

Pulborough Parish Church is the only Grade I listed building in Pulborough with all the history in its development and use over the last 800 years.

In today’s world the church congregation has worked hard to earn a silver Eco Award as part of their care for the environment.
In your visit to the church building your leaflet will tell you much of the history of the building, its memorials, stained glass windows and the furnishings that support worship including the very special early Norman Font which is still used in all Baptisms. A fuller version of the history of the building can be found on https://www.stmaryspulborough.org.uk/magazine/2021%20guide.pdf
In addition a leaflet led tour of the churchyard tells you hidden stories of some interesting people buried here as all people of the parish or died in Pulborough can be.

For the Heritage day there is people to tell you about the care of the building, the church bats in addition to the Rector who is able to answer your questions on the building and worship at St Marys.
